Late Night Hoops has calculated various advanced statistics from the games played at last weekend’s NBPA Top 100 camp. Certain of those stats are shared here.

In addition, there is an easy way to obtain our player statistics in Excel format.

If you’d like player statistics in Excel format, please request a copy by emailing jbbauer612@gmail.com.

The following 15 players had the highest Offensive Ratings, subject to two filters. First, they had to play at least 30% of their team’s minutes (teams played at least 8 games of 48 minutes each). Second, only players whose %Poss, or usage, was at least 20.0% were included.

Rank Player Min ORtg %Poss %Shots

15 Maker,Thon 57.2% 112.05 23.5% 23.2%

This next table lists the most-frequent shooters in order of %Shots – that is, the percentage of their team’s FGA’s they took while on the floor.

Antonio Blakeney being up top shouldn’t surprise anyone, but his ORtg might. He’s a talented scorer, but takes more than his shares of questionable shots. At Top 100 Camp, though, Blakeney was an impressive 59.2% (29/49) on 2FG’s. 3FG’s were another story – 29.6% (8/27), but the mix was good enough for a strong 53.9% eFG%.

Rank Player Min ORtg %Poss %Shots
1 Blakeney,Antonio 53.4% 124.6 35.1% 37.8%
2 Beasley,Malik 47.9% 109.6 29.4% 32.9%
3 Sehic,Semir 58.0% 118.7 29.4% 31.5%
4 Maye,Luke 60.7% 95.2 26.6% 30.8%

10 Jefferson,Damontrae 62.1% 102.2 24.9% 27.4%

14 Thompson,Stephen 52.0% 105.5 19.2% 25.5%
15 Diallo,Cheick 57.2% 122.8 26.2% 24.9%

We separate offensive and defensive rebounding because it’s generally foolish not to. Ed Morrow, who the Gophers are interested in, was active on the offensive glass just as he was in EYBL play (where he posted a strong 12.0%). Sehic and Maye are two that aren’t elite recruits, but continue to gain respect with their production.

Team Player Min OR%
Bulls Adebayo,Edrice 30.7% 21.0%
Heat Fall,Tacko 49.1% 20.9%
Spurs Morrow,Edward 52.2% 17.0%
Raptors Sehic,Semir 58.0% 16.4%
Spurs Maye,Luke 60.7% 14.7%

….and the defensive glass. Cheick Diallo didn’t miss the OR% list by much (just under 13%) and appears below with the second-best DR%. With regard to Total Rebound %, Luke Maye was at 20.0%. The only camper better was 7’5″ Tacko Fall (20.6%).

Team Player Min DR%
Spurs Maye,Luke 60.7% 25.1%
Knicks Diallo,Cheick 57.2% 24.8%
Raptors Sehic,Semir 58.0% 22.2%
Suns Dickerson,Noah 53.7% 21.1%
Raptors Spellman,Omari 58.2% 20.8%

Other rebounders to mention include Daniel Giddens (13% OR, 18% DR); Gopher-target Jonathan Nwanko (14%, 16%); Javin DeLaurier (13%, 17%); Carlton Bragg (8%, 20%); and Ben Simmons (12%, 15%).

The three top assists guys stood out from the rest – no one else reached 30% or better. While Jenifer was a pass-first, low usage guy (17% usage, 11% shots), top dog Jawun Evans and Derryck Thorton paired their impressive assist rates with scoring punch Evans shot 58.8% eFG and also sported a DR% of 14.2% and a steal percentage of 4.1%; Thorton’s turnover rate was the best in this top assist group at 18.3%, less than Evans at 20.6% and Jenifer’s 30.4%.

Team Player Min ORtg Arate
Mavs Evans,Jawun 61.2% 121.75 45.4%
Rockets Jenifer,Justin 50.8% 95.40 39.3%
Knicks Thornton,Derryck 63.3% 106.50 37.7%

Statistically, some others whose names don’t appear above that we liked include Tres Trinkle, Corey Sanders, Ray Smith, Thon Maker, Derrick Jones, DeRon Davis,  Dejounte Murray, Michael Cage, Skal Labissiere, Horace Spencer, and DeAaron Fox
